In need

A tragic story of the world in the lens of life, if itself had to be present to show us the reality.
She turned her head I could not see a face;
A pale wretched and vague figure.
I said to myself it is all in my dreams;
She was luminous I asked if she was a star.
My eyes froze and I could not move or cover.
I saw the soil erode while the trees fell and burned;
She said that was her skin irritated and wounded.
I saw oceans rise and rivers shrink;
Hyper tense and parched with nothing to drink.
I saw tall buildings, dark smokes and flying metals;
Garbage of products packed as miracles.
Rusted and decayed toxins pouring inside;
Once evergreen now a waste land.
The exhaustion in the muscles and the poisons in her veins;
She shouts in the thunder to shed her pain as it rains.
Creatures crushing her struggling to exist;
If they cannot save her, do they think they can rest?
She said those are her children whom she loves the most;
I wanted to sob that it touched my heart.
I cried out loud saying who did this to you;
She held my hands then I heard her utter you.
I admitted my guilt my sins haunting me;
She wiped my tears and whispered save me.
I woke up and it was real;
She was not there but her spirit I feel.
What I saw was a wake up call a message;
An urgent need to bring change.
She is a planet both fragile and robust;
Earth is a fairy with a forgiving heart.
